Sennebogen S500 Historic Manure Loader
Presented here is the 1:50th scale Sennebogen S500 manure loader which has been produced by Ros in a specially commissioned run of 3500 pieces to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Sennebogen company. The model is certainly an eye opener and shows how far the company has come over the last 60 years.
The S 500 features a steel wheeled base with working steering and pivoting towing bar allowing the crane to be easily positioned, a task usually done by a farm tractor. Operation of the crane was electric or by the power take-off of the tractor and there are flexible hoses fitted to the model to simulate the feeds to the winch motors, while a generator housing is located below the turntable, complete with protective cover.
Non functional winding handles, used to adjust each of the wheels to provide a stable base are located on the four corners of the main frame and the entire upper frame can rotate through 360 degrees.

The grapple attachment has opening jaws which is a nice feature and the various control handles have been authentically modelled. A large box is located on the rear to act as a counter balance, filled with simulated stone while the crane boom is simply attached although none of the winches are operational, so the model is more of a static display than a functional replica.

The presentation base has printed details of the 60th anniversary along with an individual serial number with 3500 produced, mainly as gifts for employees and customers while some models are now available to purchase from the Sennebogen online shop.
