1:50th Scale Sennebogen 835M D-Series Wheeled Material Handler

Sennebogen 835M

Presented here is the 1:50th scale D-Series 835M wheeled material handler from NZG. This is an updated release to the original 835 material handler produced by Conrad, reflecting the changes found on the full sized machine and there are some very nice touches on the model.

The cab interior has been very nicely replicated with all the controls, driver's seat and steering wheel visible through the clear windows. The grab rails on the cab sides are very thin and made of metal with rear view mirrors and metal front and roof screen wipers.

One very nice touch on the model is the option to fit the side platform with integral safety railings (Pictured left).

If this is not required, small plastic plugs are supplied in the box which insert into the holes (Pictured above).

The movement of the elevating linkage is smooth, keeping the cab horizontal through the full range of movement.

The undercarriage has four outriggers with arms that can be lowered to raise the wheels off the ground. The pads pivot and the arms fold in fully to reduce the width of the model. The dual tyres on each axle have a crisp moulded tread pattern with one axle featuring working steering.

The main body shape has been very nicely captured and the embossed Sennebogen name and grill cutouts on the front corner give the model a more realistic appearance. The casting has captured the door panel handle details which have been highlighted in black paint with accurately scaled safety rails leading up to the top of the engine compartment.

The flexible hydraulic lines pass through a metal distribution panel which has the Sennebogen name cast into the surface. Other details include lifting eyes cast into the body and red painted brake lights integrated into the counterweight.

The removeable five tine grab is of all metal construction with opening tines and rotating head, complete with plastic hoses that connect to the end of the stick. This is a cracking model and a very nice update to the early 835M from Conrad, demonstrating the extra level of detail and realism that is added to new releases.
