Sennebogen 818E Material Handler
Presented here is the 1:50th scale Sennebogen 818E material handler which has been produced by Conrad. The Sennebogen 818E is the latest upgrade to this popular size handler and was announced at the recent waste management show in Germany. It is great to see a die-cast replica come out at the same time and Conrad has once again produced a convincing replica which packs plenty of detail and functionality.

The body has some nice subtle surface engraving of the grill pattern with printing then used to accentuate the grooves while tiny printed safety and warning labels have been added below the engine covers which really add to the realism. Metal safety railings lead to the upper body and these are all produced in metal and finished in a silver colour. |

The cabin has a formed interior including the driver seat and joystick controls with door handle and grab rail detailing on the exterior. It is mounted to a hydraulically elevating linkage offering the operator a bird’s eye view of the surroundings and this works well on the model.

The undercarriage features a blade at one end and functional outriggers at the other end complete with pivoting pads and cylinder protection plates. Silver finished access steps are fitted to the undercarriage frame with a steering front axle, double style treaded tyres and a replicated drivetrain located on the underside. |

The K10 ULM boom and stick have a great range of movement with smooth operating hydraulic allowing any pose to be held. The work tool is a perforated shell sorting grab which has 360 degree rotation with opening jaws, finished with flexible hydraulic lines which are authentically modelled. Additional detailing includes work light housings mounted to the stick with silver painted lenses for night time operation |
The paint finish is excellent with a quality finish allowing all the surface engraving details to be seen while the printing of the grills, safety lables and Sennebogen markings are authentically applied.
