1:50th Scale Schwing S45-SX Concrete Pump

Presented here is the Schwing S45-SX concrete pump from Conrad. The model is based on a 4-axle MAN chassis with working steering on the front two axles. The cab has a replicated interior with self-fit rear view mirrors

The rear outriggers fold out from the chassis and have small hydraulic cylinders fitted while the front outriggers are very unusual on the model as they are curved and extend from the chassis on an ark into their fully extended position. The plastic pads can be lowered to give good stability to the model.

The four section, all metal boom has lerge, stiff cylinders which allow the boom to be positioned in any position chosen. The linkage of the boom is very interesting as the working position requires the first section to be extended by over 90 degrees from the travel position and this is the only model that I have in my collection which features this type of linkage.

The decking on the model has authentic silver diamond plate pattern with low slung hopper with plastic surround and lift up metal cover located at the rear. The colour scheme on the model is another variation on the white/green colours with white cab and body contrasted with the lime green boom and front stabilisers.
