1:50th Scale Schwing S42-SX Concrete Pump
Presented here is the Schwing S42-SX concrete pump from Conrad. The model is based on a 4-axle Mercedes Actros chassis with single steering axle at the front. The cab has a replicated interior with self-fit rear view mirrors.
The configuration of the boom is interesting and has a large overhang at the rear of the model which is unusual for this type of machine. The four section metal boom is fully posable and the hydraulics are just about stiff enough to hold the boom in the position chosen.

The rear outriggers fold out from the chassis and have small hydraulic cylinders fitted. The rear of the model has a small concrete hopper mounted low on the chassis with a plastic surround and flip up cover with side mounted access steps and centrally located pump output. |
The front outriggers are very unusual on the model as they are curved and extend from the chassis on an ark into their fully extended position. The plastic pads can be lowered to give good stability to the model.
The model is finished in a white and green colour combination with white cab and boom contrasting well with the lime green body and piping and the paint quality as excellent as extpected from Conrad with accurately placed markings on the boom and rear outriggers.
