Scania R with Floor 4-axle Brick Trailer "Jo Van Beek"

Presented here is the Scania R 2-axle tractor with 4-axle brick trailer in 1:50th scale from WSI. The model is decorated in the Jo Van Beek company colours and features some very fine detailing and functionality.

The floor of the trailer has a track running the length of the bed where the crane assembly can be positioned. This is a nice addition to the model and the crane frame features the operator's control along with flexible hydraulic hoses, access ladders and a functional crane boom with extending stick and brick grab. The decking on the trailer has a simulated wooden finish with non-removable silver side panels.

The two rear most axles on the trailer have the ability to rotate, allowing the trailer to be positioned in tight spaces and this is functional on the model. Each axle has working suspension with mud guards over each wheel and accurate treaded rubber tyres with intricate silver and orange wheel hubs.

The 2-axle Scania R is highly detailed with tilting cab revealing the engine block at the centre of the chassis. Coiled service lines have been added for extra realism along with silver access steps to the upper deck where the fifth wheel is located, along with accurate diamond plate panel and fuel tanks fixed to each side of the chassis frame. The front wheels have a limited amount of steering movement and, as with the trailer, the wheels and tyres are very well detailed.

The cab interior has been replicated and the paint and decoration of the cab exterior is of a very high standard with some very intricate printing and highlighting. The front and roof lights all have small clear and tinted plastic lenses with windscreen wipers and rear view mirrors added.
