1:50th Scale Putzmeister M24-3 Concrete Mixer with Boom
Presented here is the Putzmeister M24-3 concrete mixer with placement boom from Conrad.
This is the latest version of the 4-axle Pumi model and is a brand new casting with many more refined features and details over the earlier versions that have been produced.

The Mercedes Actros cab has a replicated interior, door mounted rear view mirrors and clear plastic light and indicator lenses.
The cab can be tilted forward to reveal the silver engine block beneath while the access steps on each side of the cab have a realistic anti slip texture on them, highlighting some of the smaller refinements on the model |
The Mercedes Actros chassis is finished in a black colour scheme with detailed drive train, replicated suspension system and functional front wheel steering. The highly detailed wheel hubs are finished in silver with authentic road tread rubber tyres.
The mixer frame has large silver grab rails along the sides with rear access ladder to the raised observation platform. The model now features four stabilisers, the front two can be extended away from the chassis to give a more stable footing and the pads can be lowered by unscrewing them.

The mixing unit is based on the Liebherr HTM704 with a heavy, metal drum which freely rotates within the frame. The hydraulic drive motor is fully replicated at the front of the mixer drum with the large water tank mounted just above. The discharge chute can be rotated side to side allowing it to empty into the side mounted hopper which has a fine filtering grill and plastic surround.

The three section folding boom is an all metal construction with colour matched hydraulic cylinders and piping travelling the length of the boom, terminating at the tip where a flexible rubber tube has been added. The hydraulics are stiff enough to hold the boom in any position chosen. |
The rotor pump has been fully replicated on the model and the internal rotating arm can be seen through the holes in the circular housing. Amazingly, the arm will actually rotate inside the housing through 360 degrees which is another nice touch on the model.
This is another great update to the Pumi line with many more refined details over the previous Pumi releases. The paint finish is up to Conrad's exceptionally high standards with accurate placement of the Pumi markings on the drum.
