Mammoet Promotional Models Gallery

Mammoet is a specialist when it comes to the transport and lifting of heavy objects over land and water. It can trace its history back to 1807 with Jan Goedkoop, a visionary who saw increasing demand for the transportation of goods.

Through the first half of the 19th century, Goedkoop’s company transformed from the transport of passengers and goods to investing in equipment for towing, including a small fleet of motor-driven tugboats. In 1966, Jan van Seumeren Sr. founded a new heavy lifting and Transport Company, Seumeren Kraanbedrijf, later renamed to Van Seumeren Holland B.V. and in 1971, the Gebroeders Goedkoop Company merged with Van Wezel to become Mammoet Transport.

The following year, Mammoet acquires another international specialist of heavy transport and lifting, the Stoof Company. In 2000, Mammoet is acquired by van Seumeren with both companies merging to become the modern day Mammoet. The company’s headquarters is in Schiedam, Holland where they have a deep-water heavy-lift terminal and a rather unique bollard shaped office building.
