Nooteboom OSDS-48-03V Semi Low-Loader Trailer

Presented here is the 1:50th scale Nooteboom OSDS-48-03V semi low-loader trailer with Volvo FM 6x2 tractor from WSI Models. Nooteboom have released a number of models based on the OSDS trailer in both three and four axle configurations with different options for loading ramps and accessories.

The Nooteboom OSDS-48-03V semi-low loader trailer is presented here with hydraulically powered rear 3 metre ramps complete with safety chains. The ramps have a plastic inset simulating wooden panels and pivot easily.

The trailer frame consists of a self-tracking steering rear axle and like all other versions of the trailer, load floor width adjustment is possible by extending the side bars and fitting the included simulated wooden boards which allow the trailer width to be increased.

The telescopically extending trailer bed has a floating bolster support with metal side and front panels included which fit around the gooseneck of the trailer. Support legs fold down to stabilise the trailer during loading and the trailer support legs at the front can be adjusted.

The model is supplied with several accessories including upper deck ramps, metal stakes, width marker plates and a support frame while storage and tool boxes are modelled beneath the load floor.

A Volvo FM 6x4 tractor unit is paired with the trailer and features a fully replicated suspension and drive-train from the engine and gearbox housing to the rear driven axles. A tool storage box and large fuel tank are fixed to the sides of the chassis with a large storage module mounted behind the cabin.

The cab can be tilted forward to reveal the decorated Volvo engine beneath with a chromed silencer box and silver exhaust piping also fitted along with air bottles.

The model is painted in Nooteboom house red colours with white trim, fleet numbers and Nooteboom logos on the cab sides.

The front grille has been authentically captured with a printed number plate, glazed light lenses and silver highlighting of the Volvo logo all adding to the realism. The cabin interior has also been modelled with a grey finished dashboard, seating and steering wheel all visible within.
