New Holland LM1745 Tele-HandlerPresented here is the newly launched New Holland LM1745 tele-handler model in 1:50th scale from ROS. This is one of three new 1:50th scale models from ROS and the attention to detail is clearly visible. In the past, Ros were not known for high quality detailed models and more known for large scale agricultural models, more as toys for children than as collectibles. The cab is highly detailed with all the operator controls and consoles visible through the clear windows. All working lights have been reproduced in the cab roof as on the real machine and windscreen wipers and rear view mirrors have been added to the front window. The rear of the model is finished with counterweight detail and light clusters fitted. The engine module is housed on the oposite side to the cab and can be opened to reveal the engine and cooling system. This is a good touch on a small model and shows what can be achieved. The four equally sized wheels are all free-running with working four wheel steering. Mud guards are fitted above all the wheels which add to the overall level of detail. The boom is made up of three sections, two of which telescope with the cylinder mounted above the main boom. The model features a quick coupler and is supplied with a bucket and pallet forks. There is even a moulded pallet in the box for extra realism. The front stabilisers on the model can be raised / lowered as required. The finish of the model is of a high standard and markings are accurate and crisp, including various warning markings. This model is another example of the capability Ros has in achieving a very good model at a very reasonable pricerange. This is only the second 1:50th scale tele-handler model and is much more detailed than the Cat model. With rumours of a new Case tele-handler, not to mention new Liebherr and JCB tele-handler models planned, it will be interesting to see which model comes out on top. |
