New Holland LM5060 Telehandler
Presented here is the 1:32nd scale New Holland LM5060 telehandler from Universal Hobbies. The chassis features all wheel steering which is unfortunately very stiff on the sample reviewed here. Each wheel housing has an integrated frame connected to the plastic covers over the wheels which have highlighted silver bolt fixings with transmission detailing found on the underside of the chassis.
The two section boom raises to a good height and extends relatively smoothly, connected to a set of pallet forks. Lifting brackets have been integrated into the boom structure with silver highlighed hydraulic piping on the underside. For added realism, two hydraulic service lines have been added to the head of the boom, complete with silver check valves and the printing of the New Holland name, logos and safety labels are crisp and well applied.
The cab interior has been accurately captured with high levels of detailing throughout, from the blue coloured seat with ridged base and the steering console with steering wheel and levers to the side panel with integrated armrest, switches and dials. The foot controls have been added, as has the hand brake handle for total realism which is made easier to see from the large opening door. The roof grill covers the upper part of the curved windscreen with a plastic aerial and rear view mirrors added.

The roof housing overhangs at the rear and has an integrated air conditioning unit with fan detailing visible. There are also a pair of rear facing work lights and a wiper on the rear window.

The rear chassis of the model houses a towing hitch with simulated height adjustment and a silver highlighted cap for the electrics. The contours of the frame include rear counterweights with rear facing light housings extending out on each side, complete with tinted plastic lenses.
The paint finish is very good with crisp and accurate printing of the New Holland markings. This is another good addition to the vastly expanding range of 1:32nd scale models from Universal Hobbies.
