1:50th Scale Neuson 6001 Site Dumper

The Neuson 6001 is the first release of a brand new line of 1:50th scale models from Universal Hobbies. The model is highly detailed throughout with a number of details often missing from similar sized models. The operator station features all the controls found on the real machine, including foot pedals and parking brake. The ROPs system has been added to the model and while it does not fold to the transport position, it is a nice touch on the model.

The skip features functioning tipping and swivel mechanisms complete with hydraulic hoses. The articulation is functional and has a detailed drive train and associated connections. The front of the model has forward pointing light clusters with protection grills to prevent damage while the rear of the model has light clusters housed in the body. Mud flaps have been added along with detailed access steps to the operator area and anti slip panels.

For a small model, the amount of detail is great and while there are a number of plastic parts, the overall look of the model is terrific. The paint finish is very good and all markings have been accurately produced. This is a very good sign of future models to come from Universal Hobbies. I hope the new range of Komatsu models are as good.
