1:32nd Scale Manitou MRT2150 Privilege Telescopic Handler

Presented here is the 1:32nd scale Manitou MRT2150 telescopic handler from Ros.

The model is supplied with a rotating man basket, pallet forks, lifting arm, winch and jib with basket all in the same box. The attachments are a nice addition with the model and although a lot of plastic is used on the attachments, they are lightweight and remain in position. Each attachment clips into the coupler and because they are plastic, this is easy to achieve.

The side mounted engine cover can be raised to reveal the diesel engine block and cooling system, complete with molded cooling fan and radiator. The four outriggers can be extended and lowered giving the model a sturdy base although the cylinders are not stiff enough to keep the model raised off the wheels.

The undercarriage features all wheel steering with a good degree of movement on the steering axles. The rubber tyres have an authentic tread pattern with detailed wheel hubs painted in the grey and black colour.

The upper structure has 360 degree rotation with a three stage telescopic boom which features side mounted extending hydraulic cables which is a very nice touch on the model and gives it a more realistic appearance.

The detailed cab interior is visible through the clear glazed windows with front, roof and rear windscreen wipers fitted along with twin warning beacons on the rear of the cab. The contoured operator seat and steering console are all present along with joystick controls, machine information panel and side console. The roof features an open grill safety screen below the window.

The large basket features simulated diamond plate floor with plastic railings and left/right angle adjustment.

The lifting arm features extending section with rope mounted hook and simulated winch.

The jib arm and basket features 360 degree rotation with an extending jib section, tilting basket and height adjustable jib. There are two ways to mount the attachment to the model allowing the basket to be used above and below ground level (Reaching under a bridge from above) and this is achieved by removing the screw in the basket and re-attaching it upside down.

This is a very nice, heavy model with mostly diecast metal used on the base machine with plastic and metal attachments. The paint finish is good overall but the model presented here does have a little dodgy area around the cab windows. The Manitou markings are all clear and authentic and the model is another nice addition to the growing range of Ros telehandler models.
