MAN TGX 6x4 with 3-axle Nooteboom Pendel-X Trailer
Presented here is the 1:50th scale MAN TGX 6x4 prime mover with Nooteboom 3-axle Pendel X trailer from NZG. The Nooteboom trailer was released 3 years ago and is included here with a brand new MAN tractor unit. The three axle rear dolly can be disconnected from the trailer bed and has a deep trough down the centre with the wheel assemblies mounted to the frame on each side.

The suspension system on the axles is functional and the wheels can be raised off the ground (As pictured below) |
Each axle has a linked steering mechanism allowing a very reasonable degree of turn (As pictured above) even with one set of axles in the raised position. |

There are holes in the upper deck of the trailer where metal poles can be inserted, as can two safety boards which warn when the bed of the trailer has been extended. The rear of the trailer has a number plate with amber beacons to each side and painted brake, reversing and indicator lights on both rear edges.

The gooseneck can be easily disconnected from the trailer to allow loading and the deck of the trailer has simulated wooden panels and integrated ramps at the front.
The bed of the trailer has four wheel wells integrated into the frame with metal covers, complete with textured upper surfaces that fit into place. This allows wheeled machines to be transported and reduces the overall hieght of the load (as pictured below with the New Holland W170B wheel loader used as a load) |

Two metal extension pieces are supplied with the model and fit into the holes on the sides of the trailer bed. The surfaces are textured and painted in a wood colour with silver highlighted supports beneath. |

The 3-axle MAN TGX tractor has a replicated cab interior which is visible through the front and side windows. The cab frame has fitted rear view mirrors on each side along with a mirror angled to allow a good view of the front of the cab, as found on the full sized truck. Amber beacons and radio aerials have been fitted to the roof and a plastic sun visor is placed above the windscreen.

The front grill has been nicely cast with textured front surfaces visible. The silver printed MAN logo is prominent with chrome highlighting really standing out. The driving lights are integrated into the bumper with clear plastic lenses used for added realism.

The large silver fuel tank has integrated steps leading up to the upper deck where a textured platform has been added. The fifth wheel allows all NZG trailers to be connected and coiled service lines are also present. |
The underside of the tractor has a replicated drivetrain with the driveshafts added from the gearbox to the two rear axles. The simulated suspension frames have been replicated and the tyres have an accurate tread pattern with detailed silver wheel hubs.
