Liebherr HTM904 mixer on MAN TGS 4-axle Chassis
Presented here is a limited edition 1:50th scale MAN TGS 4-axle truck with Liebherr HTM904 mixing body in Mebin company decoration from NZG. The model features the latest styling and is finished in a yellow and grey colour scheme.
The metal mixing drum is heavy, adding the the substantial feel of the model with a smooth rotating motion. the rear chute can be rotated left and right while the access ladder to the observation platform can be folded down. Non functional chute extensions are mounted to the chromed covers above the rear wheels and a water drum and hydraulic motor housing are present on the mixer frame.
Both front axles have functional steering with authentic looking road tread tyres which are also modelled on the rear wheels which are mounted to simulated suspension struts with a driveshaft connected to the axles and transmission.
The doors of the cabin have shaped handles with rear view, offside and front safety mirrors fixed to the frame. The cab has a roof window allowing light into the cab to highlight the internal detailing with chromed air horns, amber beacons and two radio aerials fitted to the roof.
One nice addition is the small platform above the front wheel arch which has a dimpled surface, complete with a safety grab rail along the side of the roof while the access steps leading up to the cab have an anti-slip texture. Even the air intake has an intricate pattern of holes embedded into the surface. Air tanks and a large fuel tank are fitted to the frame between the front and rear wheels with a structure, complete with MAN printed logo offering side damage protection to the air bottles, just like the full sized truck.
The bumper has integrated headlights with clear plastic lenses along with an authentic printed number plate and MAN logo prominently displayed across the front grill, complete with chromed highlighting. The exhaust stack rises up behind the cab and is topped with a black highlighted cap, supported with a black metal frame.
The paint finish is excellent with crisp printing of the MAN logos with crisply reproduced Mebin company artwork on the mixing drum. The model is pictured below alongside the Liebherr HTM1204 mixer on MAN 5-axle chassis from Conrad.
