MAN TGX XXL 4-axle Tractor

Presented here is a 4-axle 1:50th scale MAN TGX XXL heavy haulage tractor unit decorated in Hämmerle company colours from WSI Models.

The model is based on a 8x4 chassis with a fifth wheel coupling and tower structure mounted behind the cabin. The front grille has a fine textured surface with light housings inset into the lower bumper, complete with sliver backing to make them more realistic.

The cab interior has been replicated with contoured seating and dashboard visible through the clearly glazed front and windows. Anti-slip plates have been inset into the access step well with the door handle highlighted while yellow paint has been applied to the rear view mirror housings, topped with amber beacons mounted to the roof.

The cabin tilts forward to reveal the modeled powerplant with decorated components consisting of the cooling and exhaust systems. The rear panel of the cabin has an integrated fan housing and plastic air intake with the rear tower having a full length fuel tanks and four storage compartments along with coiled service lines and a diamond plate textured platform.

The underside of the model has a host of details including the replicated drive-train from the gearbox to the rear driven axles. the simulated suspension frames have been modeled and the front pair of axles have linked steering which has a limited range of movement. There are two different types of tyres fitted to the model with the drive wheels having a more pronounced tread pattern.

One of the most striking areas on the model are the tyres which have white printing of the manufacturer's name, logo and tyre specifications which is a really interesting touch, and looks great although on the downside, the paint does rub off very easily so care needs to be taken when handling the model.

The paint finish is of a very high standard with crisp printing of the Hämmerle and BigMove markings and the authentic numberplate.
