MAN TGA 8x4 Prime Mover with Ballast Box
Presented here is the 1:50th scale MAN TGA 8x4 prime mover with ballast box in Mammoet livery from WSI. This is a very highly detailed model as is expected from WSI who are producing some stunning heavy haulage replicas and is limited to only 500 pieces. This is an interesting model as there are no tow hitches or fifth wheel present which are curious omissions for a prime mover.

The twin silver exhaust stacks have a textured grill finish and modelled end caps. The coiled service lines have been added to the rear of the frame with air tanks, fuel tanks and cooling canopy all present behind the tilting cab which reveals the modelled engine block at the heart of the chassis.
The wheels have intricate silver rims with accurately moulded road tread tyres and red painted wheel hubs which look great and the wheel arches have integrated light clusters with plastic lenses, an authentic number plate and MAN logo printed on the mud guards |

The cab features a light bar across the roof with chromed air horns and amber beacons with a sun visor, rear view mirrors and windscreen wiper all added for extra realism. |

The chassis has some good suspension detail with transmission and drive train to the driven axles. The steering axles are functional but the range of movement is a little limited. Replicated diamond plate texturing has been added to the top surfaces of the walkway and storage compartment which looks great and the front bumper panel has been accurately finished with red and white chevron pattern.
