1:50th Scale Liebherr LTM1060-2 in Feuerwehr livery

Presented here is the Liebherr LTM1060-2 4-axle mobile crane from Conrad which is painted in the German fire service colours. The four axles feature working steering allowing tight radius turning and crab steer modes with detailed rubber tyres with an authentic tread pattern. The four outriggers are made of plastic and slide out easily with screw adjustable pads which can be lowered to raise the wheels off the ground. The crane cab has a replicated interior with the ability to tilt by about 25 degrees while blue beacons are fitted to the main cab roof.

The main boom consists of five sections which extend telescopically with small spring mounted clips inside the booms to prevent them being pulled all the way out. This spring also helps the sections to remain in position without sliding back down. The separate counterweight block can be fastened to the rear of the crane by turning the metal screw fittings which secure the counterweight in place. The model is not supplied with the two section lattice jib as I guess it is not used by the fire service.
