1:50th Scale Liebherr A924C Wheeled Excavator
Presented here is the limited edition 1:50th scale Liebherr A924C wheeled excavator in the Wurzel-Bau company colours from NZG. The Wurzel-Bau company undertakes a number of projects including canal and road construction, foundation engineering and landscaping & gardening. More information can be found on their website.
The detail level on the model is very high with some nice touches. The two section boom has flexible hosing fixed to the back surface with silver highlighting of the brackets which secure it. This is continued along the sides of the upper boom where the auxiliary piping has been cast into the boom and highlighted with silver paint to simulate the fixed piping found on the full sized machine. This is a very nice touch and adds greatly to the level of realism.

The fully modelled likufix quick coupler is a nice addition to the model with flexible hoses fixed to the stick and terminating at the head of the coupler. The tilting grading bucket can be tilted to each side and is just about stiff enough to remain at the chosen angle. The superstructure body castings are crisp with door panel and cooling grill detailing all visible. The metal safety grab rails leading to the upped engine are accurately scaled and fitted with a rear view mirror. The undercarriage has been accurately modelled with silver wheel chocks housed on the side of the storage compartment. The blade and outriggers are functional and can be lowered whilst the front wheels have working steering and eight accurately moulded rubber tyres are fitted. |

The cab interior has been accurately replicated with drivers seat, joystick controls and central console, complete with steering wheel all visible through the windows which have painted rubber seal detailing for added realism.
The paint finish is exceptional with the orange and grey colours an interesting change to the normal Liebherr yellow with accurate placement of the Liebherr markings and machine designation on the body sides along with the Wurzel-Bau logo printed on the boom along with the companies contact details along the bottom edge of the body.
