Liebherr A914 Wheeled Excavator
Presented here is the 1:50th scale Liebherr A914 wheeled excavator which has been produced in China by NZG. Weighing in between 15 to 17 tonne, the Liebherr A914 wheeled excavator is a recent addition to the range, offering excellent operator comfort from the newly developed cabin while setting the standard in its class for fuel efficiency and travel performance with all components, from the engine, hydraulics, electronics, swing drive and steel structure all developed in house for exceptional reliability and long service life.
The undercarriage has a working dozer blade at one end with a pair of lowering outriggers mounted to the opposite end, complete with pivoting pads. The freely rotating wheels have double mounted tyres fitted with a functional steering axle achieving a reasonable range of movement.
The cabin interior has been replicated nicely with the painted seat and operator controls visible through the clear glazed windows which have printed window seals. The interior has been finished in a light grey colour and accurately captures the shape of the interior panels.
The exterior frame has metal grab rails with integrated rear view and safety mirrors while mirrors are also fitted to the other side of the chassis.

The body contours are finely engraved with intricate printing used to highlight the cooling grille panels and this looks very authentic. The upper engine cover has highlighted grills and all side engine panels have painted handles while rear facing lights are inset into the counterweight. |
All the grab rails are produced in metal with most of them having a silver finish, representing the latest decoration found on the real machines.

The two section hydraulically adjustable boom and stick offer a good range of movement with a LIKUFIX quick coupler fitted to the stick allowing the bucket to be detached.

All the hydraulic piping has been authentically added with silver painted fixed piping and highlighted pipe brackets. |
As expected from NZG, the paint finish is of a very high standard with all the crisp surface details of the casting highlighted well, topped with authentically applied Liebherr markings and safety labels.
