Liebherr A316 (New Design) Wheeled Excavator
Presented here is the updated version of the Liebherr A316 wheeled excavator from NZG. The detail level is amazing for a model so small and the entire model is a new casting with the main changes being the new body shape and rear counterweight.

The body casting is great and shows all the detail of the real machine, right down to the hinges on the bonnet while the cab is highly detailed both inside and out with handrails, mirrors and internal controls all replicated.

The outriggers are fully functional, as is the steering whilst the boom is fully functional and finished with hydraulic pipework and warning labels. Even the rivets used to join the boom sections have been touched up with paint which is a great touch. |
The tyres fitted to the wheels have a new tread design which is very realistic to the real tyres used in scrap yards. The high rise cab linkage is fully functional and raises the cab to give the operator a better view of the work area. The linkage is a little loose and the cab tends to tilt a little however the hydraulic cab riser is a nice addition on the model.
The 5-tine scrap grab is removable from the stick by removing the pin and flexible hydraulic hoses are also fitted to the grab and push into the hole in the stick. This is a very good update to the original model with an excellent paint finish and accurate placement of the Liebherr markings.
