The base of the model is very sturdy with the four heavy ballast blocks, with ridged detailing to show the individual plates, fixing into place on the mounting points. (The Schuco van in Liebherr decoration is also 1:87th and shows the size comparision to the crane's base). The plastic information panel has crisply printed details and clips onto the tower.

The model is supplied with two extension tower sections and the top most section which haouses the climbing cage. The sections are all metal and fix together by applying pressure, so the metal pins on one end slide into the holes in the other end. Once connected, they are very stable. The climbing cage has the hydraulic actuator at the rear with a loose work platform which needs fitting before the slewing cab assembly is fitted.

The cab has a replicated interior which is visible through the amber tinted windows which have the Litronic details printed on the side windows. Also visible is the structural frame components as they travel up through the cab to the roof, where the jib and rear platform connect. The slewing motor has been added and the piece has a metal pole attached which inserts into the top of the climbing cage tower section, snugly enough to prevent any wobbling and yet once fully assembled, the entire jib rotates smoothly.

The tower section connects to the frame on the top of the cabin, ensuring correct orientation of the pennent lines which are also made of metal and lock into each other.

The rear platform and counterweight holder connect into the rear of the structure. The floor panels have a textured finish cast into the surface with the control box and main winch all located at the rear of the platform.

A plastic winding key is provided to operate the winch to raise/lower the hook block.

The single cast counterweight ballast fits snugly into the hole in the platform and a sign board can be fitted to the underside of the platform (More on this later)

The front jib is in two parts and needs to be assembled. This uses a tight fitting V shaped joint to lock the two sections together before fitting it to the model.

The three long pennant lines are a perfect length to ensure the jib is horizontal and the plastic trolley can then be attached to the jib and slides along the jib smoothly.

The rope from the winch needs to be routed through the mast and along the underside of the jib.

This is another good release in the rapidly expanding VINCI group model range. The model is supplied packed in a two section polystyrene carton with a specially printed outer cardboard sleeve. An instruction sheet is included for details on assembly although this is relatively straight forward. This model is exclusive and only available from the VINCI webshop.
