Letourneau Tournapull Super C Motorised Scraper

Presented here is the letourneau Super C scraper in 1:50th scale from Spec Cast. The level of detail on this model is good with cable operation of the bowl, rotating wheels and detailed engine bay to name just some of the features.

The open engine compartment shows off a detailed engine block with exhaust stack while the operator station has an open canopy with controls all reproduced. Behind the cab, two functional winches are found that operate the scraper bowl functionality.

The scraper ejector plate is plastic and slides along the frame to simulate emptying the scraper. Other functional features include the ability to raise/lower the bowl and lift the skirt.

This is a good replica of an old machine with a high degree of detail which looks good alongside the other 1:50th scale models of the era. There are several significant components that are made of plastic and the colour shade is slightly off so the plastic parts tend to stand out. Another oddity is the type of rope used on the model which looks vastly over scaled. Apart from that, the model is good and a welcomed addition to the other historic models that are being produced.
