Komatsu WA380-7 Wheel Loader

Presented here is the 1:50th scale Komatsu WA380-7 wheel loader which has been manufactured by NZG. As expected, the model is constructed from predominantly metal parts with plastic only used where absolutely necessary resulting in the model having a heavy feel.

The cabin interior has a light grey interior colour with all the internal details replicated right down to the operator controls including the steering wheel while the external cabin is fitted with a wiper, roof aerial and integrated metal grab rails and rear view mirrors extending out on frames which also incorporate light housings with silver lenses.

Metal safety railings are located on the rear wheel arches with access ladders located on both sides of the chassis, complete with silver finished steps and metal grab rails.

The hydraulics for the arms and bucket are smooth in operation giving a very authentic range of movement, topped with thin hydraulic hoses while the chassis has a good degree of steering movement and underside detailing. The wheel hubs have good bolt head detailing, both on the outer and inside surfaces and are fitted with rubber tyres that have a solid defined tread pattern which looks authentic.

The engine housing uses fine printing to replicate the cooling grills with a contoured rear grill capturing the curvy aesthetics of the full sized loader. The paint finish is excellent with crisply applied Komatsu markings finishing off another great release from NZG.
