1:50th Scale Komatsu PC360LC Tracked Excavator
Presented here is the 1:50th scale Komatsu PC360LC-10 tracked excavator from First Gear, an update to the previous PC350LC-8 release with updated graphics and new castings, the most noticable of which is the cabin and the safety railings. The model is predominantly made from die-cast metal and as such, has a fairly heavy feel to it with plastic only used sparingly.
The hydraulic slewing motors are visible behind the boom mounting and have flexible pipe work fitted, complete with full piping traveling up the back of the boom. Authentically scaled safety railings have been added, including around the upper engine compartment and are competed with integrated safety mirrors.
The anti-slip mats printed on the upper surfaces of the engine bay look very authentic and the grill pattern cast into the engine cover and inset handles on the side engine panels look good.
The cab interior is finely detailed with all the operator joystick controls visible through the clear windows, including the safety hydraulic cut-off lever whilst the exterior of the cab has a grab rail with integral rear view mirror fitted to the frame with a thin antenna mounted on the rear of the roof.

The counterweight has an integrated rear view camera housing with printed safety label and raised non-functional lifting eyes. |
Simulated hydraulic pipe protection has been cast into the flexible piping between the stick and boom and this adds to the realism of the model. |

The undercarriage has highly realistic triple grouser track pads which are individually linked and rotate freely. Unlike the previous version, there are no noticable printed safety and warning labels on the track frames, although the access steps have been fitted and the final drive housings show good detailing.
The paint finish is excellent throughout and another difference over the previous version is the new location of the machine's designation on the body sides. This is another good release and a welcomed addition to the growing Komatsu line from First Gear, shown below alongside the Komatsu D65EX-17 and D65PX-17 bulldozers.
