1:50th Scale Komatsu PC210LC-10 Tracked Excavator

Presented here is the 1:50th scale Komatsu PC210LC-10 tracked excavator from Universal Hobbies. Following hot on the heels of the Komatsu PC490-10, the smaller 20 ton PC210LC-10 has once again delivered a superbly detailed replica.

As an update to the earlier releases, the new cabin casting has accurately captured the new looks with a very nicely modelled and painted interior coupled with exterior details including screen wipers, radio antenna, grab rails, rear view mirrors and a cluster of work lights fitted to the roof.

Fine hydraulic hose detailing has been added throughout the model, including auxiliary pipe work for attachments. The stick is fitted with a coupler allowing the screws to be removed to detach the digging bucket.

As with some of the other Universal Hobbies models, plastic is used a little more than I would personally like to see although the colour match is very good and the plastic components are crisply moulded and give high levels of realism.

The printing of the various grill panels and small safety markings add to the model while the undercarriage has individually linked tracks which rotate rather well on the review sample. The paint finish is fantastic and all warning and safety markings have been added, including inside the cab.
