Komatsu PC210LC Tracked Excavator

Presented here is the limited edition Komatsu PC210LC tracked excavator in the colours of the Weidler company from NZG. Only 300 pieces have been produced and the dark blue livery with yellow trim gives a new and refreshing look to the highly detailed Komatsu model.

The cab interior has been captured with the seat and controls visible through the clear windows which have printed window seals. A photo-etched windscreen wiper is fitted to the front window and a roof window, rear fitted aerial and rear view mirror are some of the highlights found on the cab.

The body casting highlights all the fine grill panels with an opening engine cover unveiling the replicated powerpack within, with the various components authentically painted. Small warning and safety labels have been accurately positioned with the main decals and machine designation crisply printed.

The opposite side of the body has door handle detailing with a metal safety railing along the upper edge. An additional rear view mirror is placed on the corner with a second mirror mounted on the top of the engine compartment, while a rear view camera housing is located on the counterweight for total realism.

The boom and stick have a good degree of movement with flexible hydraulic piping fitted. The hydraulics themselves are a little thin and care needs to be taken not to bend them out of shape. The model is fitted with a general purpose bucket which shows some fine tooth and ridge detailing.

The paint finish is excellent with the casting details showing through perfectly. This is only the second company decorated version of the Komatsu PC200/PC10 to be produced and follows the Kropf version. The model is pictured below alongside the new MAN TGS 4-axle tipper with Meiller tipping body and they make a good combination.
