Kleemann Mobirex MR110 Z EVO Mobile Impact CrusherPresented here is the 1:50th scale Kleemann Mobirex MR110 Z EVO mobile impact crusher which has been produced by Conrad. This is the first model ever commissioned by Kleemann, part of the Wirtgen Group, and Conrad have done a great job in engineering the model to offer some interesting configuration options. The MR110 Z EVO comes from the companies Contractor line of Mobirex track mounted impact crushers and is the smallest machine in the range, suitable for processing both natural stone and demolition waste to produce a first-class and quality end product. With a feed size of up to 900mm x 600mm, the crusher can handle 350 ton per hour. The basic configuration consists of the crusher unit which has a tracked undercarriage which is made up of a single piece plastic track band with molded ridges simulating the triple grouser track pads. The track frames have the lower roller detailing cast into them with two raised sections supporting the tracks on the upper edge. A large and wide rubber conveyor belt is fitted to the main discharge conveyor and this will rotate with a little manipulation. The tip of the conveyor houses the main hydraulic drive motor with structural brackets on the sides for the screening unit and a frame above the conveyor where the magnetic separator is installed.
The hopper has good structural detailing on the underside including the vibrator motors with a smooth inner surface and is fixed to the frame with simulated isolation mountings which look realistic. On the full sized machine, the hopper sides can be folded for transport but this is not possible on the model. The primary screening unit is located between the hopper and crusher housing and has a slotted grizzly on the upper deck. As with the hopper, the mounting locations are nicely detailed and a chute is located below the screen box, allowing the fine grain material to be stockpiled. attention to detail is evident here with a pair of vibrator motors located on the underside of the chassis which would operate the vibrating discharge chute to transfer the crushed material onto the main discharge belt. The crusher housing has plenty of structural detailing with the safety mechanisms highlighted in red. the upper opening can be raised and small rubber strips are fitted to simulate the rubber covers on the full sized machine to prevent material being thrown from the opening.
The metal safety railings on both sides of the upper works are accurately scaled and the main engine housing has ridged grill detailing cast into the surfaces. The main side panel has good ridge detailing of the panels with crisp printing of the Wirtgen Group logo and the Kleemann name. The model is supplied with an optional screening unit which consists of a single deck vibrating screen box which is constructed of metal with a mesh screen plate and simulated plastic hinges where it connects to the discharge conveyor. As with the main conveyor, the belt is made of rubber and rotates well. The screening unit connects to the lower frame of the crusher chassis with two bars with T shaped ends locating in the brackets found on the main conveyor frame.
Weighing in at around 45 ton, the machine can be transported on a number of different transport solutions, and makes a great load for the WSI Scheuerle Intercombi low loader model pictured below. While the hopper sides don't fold for transport, the model still makes a convincing load. It is good to see Kleemann release their first scale model, and Conrad have done a very good job with an excellent paint finish throughout and flawless printing of the Kleemann details and Wirtgen Group markings. The ability to set the model up in several different configurations also adds to the posing possibilities and while the model is expensive, it is certainly an impressive piece and it will be interesting to see what Kleemann follow up with in the not too distant future. |
