1:50th Scale Ford Transit Van in JCB livery

Presented here is the 1:50th scale Ford Transit JCB van from Corgi. Collectors have waited a long time for a 1:50th scale van to be produced and Corgi have done a decent job in producing the Ford Transit van. The model is non-functional in that there are no opening doors or working steering and are considered more as static models to pose alongside the construction models. The quality of the castings are good with lots of detail captured and paint is used to highlight the door handles and sliding hinge along with the window seals.

The front and rear lights have clear plastic headlights with coloured indicator and brake lights along with freely rotating wheels and accurately moulded rubber tyres. The underside of the model has cast suspension and chassis panel detailing along with the silver coloured exhaust. The paint finish is good with an even paint coating but some of the tampo printed markings are a little smudged on the model reviewed here.

The Ford Transit and Vauxhall Vivaro vans are a welcome addition to the expanding JCB model range and look good alongside the 1:50th scale construction models from Motorart.
