International TD24 Tracked Tractor with Cable Operated Blade

This is the International TD24 bulldozer in 1:50th scale from Spec Cast. The level of detail on this model is very good with linked metal tracks and functional cable operated "Bullgrader" blade.

The individually linked metal tracks are supperbly detailed and are a nice replication of the tracks on the real machine. The detail provided in the operators station is impressive with all operator controls fully recreated including foot controls, levers and the dials on the instrument panel are visible.

The open engine compartment shows off a highly detailed engine block with twin exhaust stacks and front raised metal frame for the blade pulleys all reproduced. The rear of the model has a dual cable winch attachment which would be used for powering cable operated towed equipment like scraper pans. One winch is functional and used to operate the front mounted blade and a small winding key is provided in the box.

This is a good replica of an old machine with a high degree of detail which looks good alongside the First Gear International models, although In my opinion, the First Gear models are just that little bit better and the unpainted tracks on the TD24 detract a little in the overall appearance of the model.
