Hitachi Zaxis ZX200-5G

Replicars have already released several different versions of a 20 ton Hitachi tracked excavator including a hybrid version. The latest release from them is the Asia spec ZX200-5G which, while similar to the European versions, has some small casting tweaks, most noticeable are the different cooling grill patterns on the sides of the engine bay while the upper grey engine cover is much flatter.

Unlike the releases from TMC Scalemodels, there is no opening door and no lifting engine cover on this version although the fine detailing is there, including raised hydraulic pipe work and armoured hoses and a nicely finished cabin interior.

The tracks consist of individually linked triple grouser pads which run smoothly and the bucket is attached with bolts, making it easy to remove to mount other attachments. The model is available from the Hitachi merchandise shop (www.hcmewebshop.com)
