O&K AS600 Dumper
Presented here is the historic O&K AS600 dumper truck in 1:50th scale from NZG. This is one of the best historic models I have seen with nice details throughout and is a great choice of subject matter.
The large tyres fitted to the model have a very intricate tread pattern which really stand out and give a rugged look and feel to the model. The smaller tyres have one of the most detailed tread patterns I have seen on a model with tiny little dimples moulded into the material.

The cab frame can be removed by lifting upward and with it removed, the internal operator station is clearly visible. There are two sets of foot pedals and the entire seat and steering console can be rotated by 180 degrees to allow the driver to operate the machine in either direction which is a very nice feature of the model
With the cab frame fitted, the operator is afforded some protection from the elements. Added details include the grab handle and foot step to aid in entering the cab and this is another nice addition to the model. |

The cab frame has front and rear glazed windows, complete with small windscreen wipers and the authentic O&K logo. |

The front wheels feature working steering and a good amount of turn can be achieved which adds to the realism while the large skip is hinged and can be displayed in the tip position. Two metal chains keep the skip in the raised position as the tipping operation is made by gravity.
The centre mounted engine compartment has detailed radiator and side grill panels with painted silver trim whilst the front bumper has a towing bracket and two work lights.
