Hamm DL10 Dead Weight Road Roller

Hamm DL10 Roller

Presented here is the latest historic model from NZG. The Hamm DL10 dead weight road roller was first produced in the 1950's and the model presented here is modelled in 1:50th scale.

The rear of the model has step on access to the drivers compartment where all the controls have been reproduced. The open canopy affords some protection from the elements to the operator and has a curved roof which is painted grey on the top surface.

The front roller drum is freely rotating with four access panels cast into the end sections. The steering mechanism is functional and the roller has working oscillation. Even a small shackle has been added for towing purposes.

The large rear drums also have cast access panels along with the cleaning bars front and back which have intricate thread detailing which greatly adds to the realism. The rear edging cutters have also been fully replicated and while not functional, they certainly look good.

The rear drawbar has been modelled complete with moulded towing pin detailing.

Water spray bars are present above the rear wheels and two small bars extend from the front chassis to cover the front drum. The main body has bolt and grill panels cast into the surface with front facing work lights and silver painted panel catches. The HAMM logo is prominently displayed on the front of the model and the paint finish is excellent.
