Hamm H13i Single Drum Compactor

Presented here is the 1:50th scale Hamm H13i single drum compactor from NZG. This version of the model has been released with a padfoot roller drum surface while a smooth drum version of the model is also available, both fitted with a fully enclosed cabin.

The all metal drum has a hefty weight with an authentically replicated raised drum surface, complete with flexible hydraulic hoses found on both sides of the front frame. The rear  tyres have a deep tractor style tread pattern for added grip with nicely modelled wheel hubs. The front frame has bolt detailing cast into the surfaces with a good range of movement of the articulating, hydraulically operated joint between front and rear chassis.

The cabin interior has been modelled well with the central control housing, steering wheel, controls and safety fire extinguisher clearly visible with metal bars extending from the frame to house the front facing light housings. The window seals are authentically added along with a front windscreen wiper for added realism while rear view mirrors have also been added with an amber warning beacon mounted to the roof.

The opening engine cover raises up to reveal the completely modelled Tier 4i Deutz TCD 4.1 L4 4-cylinder engine block and cooling systems with angled radiator block, piping and fine detailing all looking very realistic. Added details include the silver finished wheel chocks, silver painted exhaust with black highlighted inner tip and extending filler tube with silver cap.

The engine cover has slotted grills which are crisply cast allowing glimpses of the radiator within along with inset rear facing lights with clear and tinted lenses, topped with a crisply printed Hamm logo. The access steps on each side of the chassis are nicely engineered with metal grab rails and a textured anti-slip upper surface.

The 13 tonne class Hamm H13i die-cast 1:50th scale compactor replica from NZG follows the same high levels of detail and realism as their previous Hamm models with an excellent paint finish and quality printing of the Hamm & Wirtgen Group logos. Another great addition to the fleet.
