Genie GTH-2506 / GTH-5519 Telehandler

Presented here are the 1:32nd scale Genie GTH-2506 & GTH-5519 telescopic handlers which have been produced by NZG. The GTH-2506 is a nimble compact handler with a spacious and comfortable cabin; four wheel drive and four wheel steer to give an excellent turning radius. The hydrostatic transmission offers precise control and the multi-function joystick allows simultaneous control of all boom movements. Power comes from a Deutz TD2.9 4-cylinder engine delivering 74hp and the machine hits the scales a touch over 4500 kg.

The model has been produced in two slightly different versions, one designated GTH-2506 for the European market (above left) and one designated GTH5519 for the US market (above right) where the front and rear light housings have been omitted, as has the side hydraulic circuit cover.

The boom is fitted with a fairly stiff hydraulic cylinder which allows the boom to be positioned at any chosen angle with smooth extending of the inner boom, complete with marked extension points while the end of the main boom has a printed angle indicator with the maximum lifting capacity printed onto the European version.

The pallet forks are pitch adjustable, housed in a metal frame which can be detached from the boom, allowing other work tools to be fitted. Unfortunately, there are no additional tools in the box and at this time, NZG have no plans to introduce any accessories for the model

Both versions have functional all-wheel steering with a limited degree of movement with free-rotating wheels that are fitted with authentic treaded tyres.

The cabin interior shows the side console with various highlighted dials and switches along with the main steering wheel and operator’s seat with printing used to simulate the safety bars on the upper section of the front windscreen.

The paint finish is to NZG’s usual high standard with crisp printing of the Genie markings and machine designation on the sides of the boom while the engine housing has in indented Genie logo with finely printed cooling grills.
