John Deere 624J Wheeled Loader

This is the John Deere 624J Wheeled Loader in 1:50th scale from ERTL. The model is from their "High Detail" series and feature a host of improvements on their standard range of models.

Being a high detail model, there is a detailed engine situated behind the 5 opening engine doors, 2 on each side of the model plus one on the top. The rear radiator also swings out to show the internal radiator detail.

The model features fully working boom which can be raised/lowered and the intricate Z-linkage connected to the bucket can be tipped. The boom is fitted with a quick hitch connection and the bucket can be removed.

 The detail on this model is good for a model that costs around £20-£25 and is a great addition to the John Deere model series. The use of large silver headed rivets is again a slight detraction but is not as bad as the 872D model. The 624J is pictured below alongside the 824J and 824K log loader models from Ertl.
