Atlas Copco ST14 Scooptram Underground Loader
Presented here is the 1:50th scale ST14 Scooptram underground loader model from Joal. The model was announced at the Nuremburg toyfair at the beginning of 2008 and it has finally been released.

The rear body of the model features an open design where internal detailing can be seen. This includes fire extinguishers mounted on both sides of the engine bay along with piping details and air cleaner housing.
The large radiator grill has a rippled texture with non functional towing pintle hitch whilst the side mounted work lights have silver painted lenses and printed reflective triangles. |

Silver painted grab rails have been added to several areas on the body with integral cast access steps in both sides of the lower body panels with a rough anti-slip edge giving access to the top of the body. |

The articulating frame has a good amount of steering movement provided by the two hydraulic cylinders along with large rubber tyres that have a smooth contact surface fitted to the highly detailed wheel hubs. The loader arm is functional with a good amount of movement allowing the bucket to be raised to a decent height and the bucket tip cylinder has a protective cover which slides as the piston extends to tip the bucket.
This is a decent model from Joal with some nice casting details on the panels and upper deck surface and the finish on the model is relatively good overall if a little thick in places hiding some of the casting details.
