Caterpillar 836G Compactor

Presented here is the 1:50th scale Caterpillar 836G Compactor from Norscot.

The model is really well detailed and has been a long time in the making. The final result is another fine model with some nice details and features.

The engine cover and cab interior are clearly defined with swing out ladders leading to the replicated cab.

The blade is a let down as the top guard is fully filled in and looks a little ugly . It is a pity Norscot could not have done the casting so that the grill is open but I guess this would make it more fragile.

The compaction wheels are well formed with "plus tips" and the markings and paint finish on the model are well done.
