Caterpillar D6T Dozer

The Caterpillar D6T dozer model in 1:50th scale from Norscot is another release featuring excellent levels of detail and realism. The free rolling linked metal tracks have grouser and bolt detail on each pad with sprung loaded idler wheels.

The rear of the model has a three shank ripper which can be lowered and all rivets have been painted over which makes the model so much better than having the large silver rivets found on their earlier models. All the grab rails on the model are to scale and are a mixture of plastic and metal.

The cab features opening doors on each side which reveal the fully detailed cab interior, complete with operator controls. The doors and front screen have windscreen wiper detail and there are forward pointing work lights mounted on the front lift hydraulics. The front mounted blade is fully functional and can be posed similar to the real machine although the range of angle movement is limited. The addition of the Accugrade GPS control system is a welcomed addition.

The paint finish is very good on the model with the distinctive yellow and black colours and "Power Edge" markings printed on the cab sides. This model again shows the extra effort that Norscot are going to this year and is another great addition to the Caterpillar model fleet looking fantastic next to the previously released D6K.
