Caterpillar 994F Wheeled Loader

Presented here is the limited edition "mining white" version of the 1:50th scale Caterpillar 994F wheeled loader from Norscot. The 994F is the largest wheel loader in the Caterpillar line up, ideally suited for loading some of the largest mining trucks and weighs in at over 195 ton with a 16-cylinder Cat 3516B diesel engine generating an impressive 1577hp.

The model is well made for its size with many of the details found on the real machine replicated well. The body of the model features detailed walkways with steps rising up the rear wheel arches with accurately scaled metal safety railings and access steps.

The rear engine bay has finely cast door panels with grill texture on each side while the top of the engine bay has four large exhaust stacks and associated engine components visible.

The cab has been fully reproduced with work lights, rear view mirrors, grab rails, warning beacons and windscreen wipers all visible while the detailed operator station can be seen through the clear windows.

The loader arms and bucket are realistically detailed with wear protection reproduced throughout the bucket while the loader arms rise to a realistic height with the hydraulic cylinders very stiff, so holding the pose is not a problem.

The wheels and tyres are huge and really add to the impressive looks of the machine with an authentic tread pattern and detailed hub centres.
