Caterpillar 854G Wheeled Dozer

Presented here is the Caterpillar 854G wheel dozer in 1:50th scale from Norscot. The 836G is the largest wheel dozer produced by Caterpillar and the model is very large and rugged.

The rear engine compartment features cast engine grills and over-scaled plastic safety rails which do give the model a toy-like appearance which is a little dissapointing.

The front dozer blade has some nice detailing and can be raised and tilted just like the full sized machine. The large tyres have a moulded chevron style tread design which looks good.

This is a reasonable model let down by the large scaled safety rails. The paint finish is good with authentic Caterpillar markings on the engine sides and cab rear.
