Caterpillar 793D Mining Truck

The new Caterpillar 793D mining truck has now been released. This is the updated version with new MSD dump body. The chassis, upper deck and cab are the same as the previous version.

The front of the model features accurately scaled handrails and steps up to the deck. The upper deck is nicely detailed with non slip walkway details while the tanks and exhaust pipes are all modelled.

The dump body can be raised/lowered and has two stage hydraulics. The dumpbody hydraulics are fairly stiff so the body can be positioned as required.

This is a very nicely done model from Norscot. Rear view mirrors and lights have been added to the front and rear of the model and the rear suspension is functional, along with the front steering. The addition of the new body makes the model look bigger than the previous version and is much more impressive.
