Caterpillar 793D Mining Truck

The new Caterpillar 793D mining truck has now been released. This is the "Collectors Version" which features a host of added detail not found on the standard Norscot Cat models.

The front of the model features accurately scaled handrails and steps up to the deck. The upper deck is nicely detailed with non slip walkway details while the tanks and exhaust pipes are all modelled.

The dump body can be raised/lowered and has two stage hydraulics. The dumpbody hydraulics are fairly stiff so the body can be positioned as required. Plastic mud flaps are fited to the body, along with the security cable used to keep the dump body raised during maintenance. This is a nice touch.

This is a very nicely done model from Norscot. I only wish that all Norscot Models were to this level of detail and accuracy. Wing mirrors and lights have been added to the front and rear of the model and the rear suspension is functional, along with the front steering
