Case CX250C Tracked Excavator
Presented here is the exclusive edition 1:50th scale Case CX250C tracked excavator from Conrad which has been finished in the white colours of Cardem, a member of the VINCI Group and fitted with a concrete shear attachment.
The upper body has been accurately captured from the full sized machine with textured engine cover and authentically scaled metal safety rails, complete with clip on rear view mirror.
The cabin interior has been simply modelled with a plastic moulding highlighting the seat and joystick controls with a roof window installed into the cab frame which is covered with a set of debris protection screens. A rear view mirror is supplied in the box and needs fitting to the safety rail on the side of the cab.
The tracked undercarriage has linked metal track pads with triple grouser detailing with sprung idler wheels keeping the tracks tensioned. The track frames have roller and guide wheel detailing along with cast access steps on the sides of each frame.

The concrete shears give the model a more interesting appeal and feature opening jaws and 360 degree rotation of the headwith crisp surface engraving details

The fleet number is printed on the side of the cabin with small yellow safety labels added and the familiar red and blue striping running along the sides of the body.
Added pipe detailing has been moulded into the smooth working hydraulic cylinders with flexible hoses fitted to the boom for a more realistic appearance and this works well, complete with an auxiliary circuit on the stick. |
The paint finish is of a high quality, as expected from Conrad while the Cardem graphics are authentically applied. The model is pictured below in transport on the rear deck of the Doll 5-axle trailer with 3-axle MAN TGS tractor unit which is also finished in the Cardem colours.
