1:50th Scale Bell B50D Articulated Dumptruck
Presented here is the long awaited 1:50th scale Bell B50D articulated dump truck from Norscot.
The model features a functioning rear tail gate which opens as the dumy body is raised along with working suspension of the rear axles. The body interior is finished in the red primer colour which is a distinctive feature of the Bell ADTs while accurate Bell markings and logos have been added throughout the model.
The opening engine cover reveals the highly detailed Mercedes engine and the cab can be tilted to reveal more transmission detail underneath. The cab interior is highly detailed and scaled plastic hand rails and access steps have been added to both sides of the chassis along with rear view mirrors and roof mounted visor.
This is a more refined model that the previously released B40D and shows the extra level of detail Norscot are now adding to their models. The tyres have an authentic tread design with Goodyear brand markings on the tyre side walls which is a nice touch.

The exterior dump body has structural re-enforcement detailing with cast mud guards painted black and protection pads along the bottom frame of the bed. the open grill on the top is also a nice touch. The functional tailgage is another area on the model where Norscot have added a little extra and the linkage works very well. |
The plastic access steps on each side are finished in silver and have textured surfaces whilst the safety rails are realistically scaled, as are the frames extending from the cab where the rear view mirrors are located. |
