Bell 850J Bulldozer
Presented here is the Bell 850J Bulldozer in 1:50th scale from ERTL. The model is one of their "High Detail" series and feature opening compartments and extra detailing over Ertl's standard range of models.

Being a high detail model, there is a plastic moulding of the engine block situated behind the opening side door panel which is a nice touch.

There are also 2 opening side doors, one on each side of the cab which reveal additional plastic moulded detailing. The cab is detailed inside and tilts back showing the moulded inner workings of the machine. |
The blade, which has flexible piping fitted for extra detailing can be raised/lowered and there is a tilt cylinder fitted which does not offer any movement. The 3-shank ripper fitted to the rear of the model can also be raised/lowered and the individually linked metal tracks are a nice addition to the model and give it a more realistic appearance than rubber band style tracks commonly found on low cost models.
The detail on this model is very reasonable considering the RRP and is another great addition to the Bell promotional model series. The paint finish is very good throughout with accurate placement of the Bell logos and name on the sides are rear of the model.
