ABI Mobilram TM 12/15 Piling Rig on SR35T Carrier

Presented here is the limited edition "Krupp GFT" version of the ABI TM 12/15 piling rig in 1:50th scale from Conrad. The casting is the same as the standard version and has been finished in a yellow and red colour scheme.

The model can be posed in it's travel position and the hammer head is removable, using a plastic clip and friction to stay in place. The mast can be extended and does slide along the carrier fitted to the boom whilst the sliding holder which carries the hammer also slides along the boom and a flexible plastic strip is used to simulate the hydraulic lines to the hammer.

The cab has large glazed windows with a visible seat, joystick controls and display console visible within. Grab rails are cast into the cab frame and a textured protection screen is fitted to the roof to protect the roof window from falling debris. The tracked carrier is a Sennebogen and has the distinctive counterweight design. The undercarriage has rubber tracks which shows that this model is now quite old in comparison to the last couple of years where linked metal tracks are now found on models of this size.

The top of the mast has a crane jib which rotates through 360 degrees but does not have a functioning cable, so there is a short length of rope attached to a hook. The paintwork is excellent with a distinctive yellow and red colour scheme of the Krupp company. Silver panels with textured diamond plate pattern are fitted to the upper body and the Krupp markings have been added across the rear of the counterweight and engine sides. This is a great update to the original model and an accessory kit is also available which consists of auger drill with motor and a multihead piling attachment .
