Liebherr A954C High Rise Material Handler

This is the Liebherr A954C wheeled excavator model in 1:50th scale from NZG. The body casting has been very well done and includes grill details, walkways on both sides with walkway grab rails. The newly styled cab is highly detailed with handrails, internal controls and working lights mounted onto a cab riser attachment which is functional and also stiff enough to remain in any position chosen.

The undercarriage is supperb, with fully functional stabilisers which are stiff enough to hold the weight of the model. There are detailed entry steps and grab handles at each end of the undercarriage and the front wheels are steer-able. The wheels are finished with the thin rubber tyres which are an improvement on the previous A954 model from Conrad.

The curved boom and long stick are fully functional and include plenty of detail including hydraulic hoses and working lights. The clamshell is mounted to the stick with a pin and is again functional. The most interesting part of this model is the addition of the high rise tower which raises the body by 45mm

The finish of the model is supperb, as is expected of NZG. The markings are very crisp and help to make the model one of the best and most unusual Liebherr models to date.
