Liebherr A309 Wheeled Excavator

This is the Liebherr A309 wheeled excavator from NZG. The detail level is amazing for a model so small. The body casting is great and shows all the detail of the real machine, right down to the hinges on the bonnet.

The cab is highly detailed with handrails, mirrors and internal cab controls all visible through the full sized cab.

The split blade and main blade operate, as does the steering and the tyres have an authentic moulded tread pattern. The boom is fully functional with the kingpost having the ability to turn by about 45 degrees to allow the model to be posed with the bucket offset for working in tight spaces. The boom is finished with hydraulic pipework and warning labels and the rivets used to join the boom sections have been touched up with paint.

The bucket is removable from the quick hitch by removing the 2 pins and there are two spare pins provided in the box.

As models go, this is another example of the fantastic detail that NZG are putting into their models. The paint finish is second to none and all the markings are very well defined.
